We’re really excited to announce that we will be collaborating with Lincolnshire-based theatre company (and Arts University Bournemouth graduates) Yellowbelly Theatre this year!

Together, we will be celebrating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, re-imagining The Tempest to explore the ‘migrant crisis’ taking place across Europe. Set in the near future on ‘The Island’ (an abandoned migrant camp), the play will combine Shakespeare’s original text with real TV News footage.

The aim of this collaboration is to raise money for Doctors without Borders (MSF). MSF provides medical aid to those fleeing conflict. Their work is vital – now more than ever. We also hope this production can encourage continued awareness of the crisis, and promote kindness in an increasingly polarised society.

It is very exciting to be working with Yellowbelly Theatre on such an unusual project. The Tempest will tour during Autumn 2016, and we look forward to sharing the finished product!
